Compensation for Disadvantages
Compensation for disadvantages is provided for in the university's study and examination regulations.
According to the Hochschulrahmengesetz and the Landeshochschulgesetz, the special needs of students with disabilities and the chronically ill must be taken into account in order to enable them to study adequately.
The compensation for disadvantages includes the following:
Possibility of supplementing an oral examination in writing (for hearing or speech impaired)
Possibility of extending processing or submission deadlines for homework and exams
Possibility of exceeding the registration deadlines for examinations in the event of a deterioration of health
Changes to internship regulations
Disabled and/or chronically ill students should contact the disability representative of their respective institution or the examination board of their study program directly.
