Living on the campus
Our new building in Stadtquadrat B 6, 14-15 was constructed as a KfW energy-efficient house using a hybrid modular timber construction method and consumes less energy than is produced by the building’s own photovoltaic system. The new residential complex, which adjoins the newly constructed buildings of the University of Mannheim and the GESIS Leibniz Institute for the Social Sciences on the B 6 site, means that on-campus living, which has already been successfully practised in many countries, is now possible in Mannheim for the first time.
