New price structures 2025
The Administrative Board has unanimously approved the Mannheim Student Union’s business plan for 2025. This means that new prices will apply in the canteens and cafeterias at all locations from January 1, 2025 and the Studierendenwerk fee will be increased by 15 euros for the fall/winter semester 2025/26. The adjustment of our price structure was unavoidable as the costs for staff, food, energy, procurement and provision have risen sharply in recent years. As we explained in our letter published on the website on November 6, 2024, the state of Baden-Württemberg is also providing the Studierendenwerke with too little funding to compensate for the high deficits. We will continue to do everything we can to fulfill our social mission and to offer students at the five universities in the Studierendenwerk Mannheim’s area of responsibility the most affordable, good and wide-ranging services possible in the future.
